Microsoft - Spent 5 Days with Microsoft Tech and They Loaded Counterfeit Windows Software - Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows
Spent 5 days (total) with Tier 1 & 2 Microsoft Tech Support. I have their Assure Plan. Internet Explorer 11 would not load. All techs in India; 1 Philippines. Ran virus scans, looked at Start-up menu. Removed McAfee and added Microsoft Security Essentials. The end result is they loaded a counterfeit Windows (yes at Microsoft!), nothing working related to Windows. Now Windows 8 is trying to load and it too is problematic. Each tech - 5 of them said there is NO technical support in the US. Finally I called corporate in Washington and a Tier 3 guy called. I said wanted US tech help. He wanted to bring on someone in India. This company is AWFUL with tech support. Going Apple next time. This is 4 years of very poor support and fights each time.
